new beginnings: my first car

09:05

Hey peeps, I'm sorry I haven't been updating in awhile, big stuff has been going on in my life and I feel like I'd have to update you guys on what's happening (or what had and will happen). Since there's too much to share and I'm not feeling well today, I'm just going to tell you 2 major events that happened and will happen this year:

1. I bought my first ever car.
2. I'm turning 20 this year. (omg I've lived 2 decades, I'm going to be an adult *faints)

It looks something like this but I tinted the windows and changed the rim.

I'm so excited I do not even know where to begin. I know some people got their first car when they're 17 which usually is a gift from their parents (that I wished my parents had gotten me). However, I didn't come from a rich family, my family is moderate and darn I have 5 siblings- imagine my parents having to buy 5 cars for each of us?! Um, no. But for those that their parents bought them a car, be thankful and please know that you're one of the luckiest being on earth because I bought my own car. Though it may not be a BMW or even Myvi, because it's a secondhand car, I'm very proud and thankful to my parents (for helping me out a bit) and for God and his plans.

I was broke for 6 months, and MARA did not give me my allowance, so my parents took over and gave me allowance which is RM400 per months for my transport to uni and I would bring "bekal". I had to say, that was when I learnt the true value of money. RM400 may sound small to the old Izz Sabrina but I thank God I went through that period and I learnt how to value money. My parents could afford to give me more, but as a daughter, I would feel bad spending my parents money on things that didn't matter. I still spent a few on shopping because well, drastic change is not that effective. However, I'm a changed person now. When I finally got my bulk of allowance, my parents said it would be great to use it to buy a car.

I would think that this is because of my first car too, I mean having a car means a responsibility, I'd have to make sure that I feed it (fuel), make sure it's healthy (service) and so much more. I feel like I'm really growing though I still need to learn a lot more but I'm thankful and glad for my plan that didn't work out but like always, God's plan is always better.

So, if you're wondering my car is:
2004 Limited Edition Perodua Kelisa for RM13,300.

(I will post a picture of it soon)
